The traditionally held International Scientific Psychological Conference "Personality in Norm and Pathology" in 2027 is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Chelyabinsk State University.
The modern world is characterized by a growing information load, the digital transformation of all spheres of life, and the blurring of familiar social boundaries. These processes generate an unprecedented level of stress, calling into question the classical criteria of mental health. The boundaries between norm and pathology are becoming increasingly fluid and subjective, requiring new methodological foundations for their diagnosis and understanding.
A special place at the Conference is occupied by the cognitive studies of personality as a dynamic system that processes a multitude of information about itself and the world. Distortions in the functioning of this system (dysfunctions of attention, memory, mentalization) underlie many borderline states, whereas adaptive cognitive styles are the core of psychological resilience. The Conference serves as a platform for integrating the efforts of psychologists, clinicians, neuropsychologists, and educators in addressing these issues.
